Chief Executive Officer

Islamabad Electricity Supply Company (IESCO) is a leading power distribution company in Pakistan, serving over 3.88 million customers with an annual revenue exceeding Rs. 522 billion. Our operational jurisdiction includes six districts: Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Attock, Jhelum, and Chakwal.

We are seeking a high-caliber team leader for the Chief Executive Officer position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the capability to lead the company toward sustained growth while creating value for customers. We require a proactive, results-oriented professional with a strong performance record who can tackle challenging assignments. Strong leadership, team building, change management, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, along with a drive to meet performance targets.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics).

Additional Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business/Public Administration, Management, Economics, or Finance.
• At least 20 years of overall experience, including a minimum of 10 years in a senior management role in the Power Sector.
• Applicants must be up to 62 years old at the time of application.

Remuneration

The position offers a competitive market-based remuneration package.

Contract Terms

• The initial contract will last for three years, subject to annual evaluation by the Board of Directors (BOD) of IESCO. Based on satisfactory performance, the contract extended for an additional two years.

Instructions

1. Candidates must meet the Fit and Proper Criteria as outlined in the State-Owned Enterprises (C-Level Appointments) Guidelines 2024, the Companies Act 2017, and the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operation) Act 2023.
2. Candidates must be Pakistani citizens.
3. Selected candidates must resign or sever connections with their parent department before joining IESCO.
4. Candidates must download and attach the prescribed application and Declaration Form from the IESCO website: www.iesco.com.pk.
5. Submit a signed printed copy of the online application through courier or registered mail, along with:
   • A detailed CV
   • A copy of CNIC
   • A Declaration on non-judicial stamp paper confirming eligibility as per the company’s act
   • Copies of Degrees/Testimonial verified by the Higher Education Commission (HEC)
   • HEC Equivalence certificate for foreign qualifications
   • Attested copy of registration with the relevant professional body or PEC
   • Numbered and signed application pages
6. Applications must reach the specified address within 15 days from the advertisement date.
7. Incomplete applications or those received after the deadline not considered.
8. Government/Semi-Government employees can apply through the proper channel with an NOC from their department.
9. Experience in a public sector position at BS-20 or equivalent will qualify as Senior Management Experience.
