AUDITORS
Introduction
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) jobs are expanding its efforts to ensure compliance with tax laws and enhance its departmental capacity for enforcement. Given the significant financial activities observed last year, including billions of rupees in property transactions, vehicle sales, and banking transactions, there is an urgent need for specialized audit services.
Current Situation
The existing team of 500 auditors at FBR requires additional human resources to effectively perform the necessary audits. To address this, FBR is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from experienced and qualified payroll firms capable of providing 4,000 professional auditors. These auditors will be task with conducting comprehensive audits of the top 5% of high-net-worth individuals whose tax payments do not align with their lifestyle and assets.
Audit Approach
The audit be carried out using a structured and systematic approach, including:
- 100% computerized audits using the CoEIM (Council of European International Management) model for medium-risk cases.
- 70% desk audits for low-risk cases, up from 5% last year, incorporating third-party data verification.
- 40% comprehensive audits for high-risk cases, up from 1% last year.
Contract Details
This engagement be for a one-year period, and one or more payroll firms selected based on proven experience and capability. Firms interested in submitting their proposals should send them in a sealed envelope to the undersigned within 15 days from the publication of this advertisement. Proposals received after the specified date not be consider.
